Friday Favorites

It’s amazing what a long weekend does for the following week- makes it fly by! I didn’t get done quite as much as I had hoped for the week but I had some quality time with my little ones as big brother and sister were off at school.

Without further delay, let’s talk friday favorites.

Favorite food

Blackberries! We have been picking and stocking up on blackberries before the season comes to an end. They mostly go straight to the freezer and are used for smoothies, but I couldn’t resist baking up a blackberry cobbler with a bunch from our backyard. It was superb. I need to make it one more time to write down the recipe.

 

Favorite moment

Waking up to this cooler weather. We had a lovely week of weather here in Washington- high in the 70s/80s, but with a few cooler mornings. As much as I hate to see our beautiful summer weather go, I just LOVE the first feeling of fall. I had to grab my cozy fleece robe a couple mornings!

 

 

Favorite new subscription

Ok I have admitted to my addiction to subscriptions mainly because I don’t get out to shop anymore with 4 kids. Even online shopping has been more of a pain for me because I find myself needing to return stuff too often which means extra trips to the post office. No fun.

So RocksBox offered me the chance to try out their service for a few months. Here is the deal: you pay $20 a month and a personal stylist hand-picks 3 pieces of designer jewelry for you. It arrives in this cute little box.

You can keep the pieces as long as you want or swap them out for new pieces as many times as you want throughout the month. They call it your “all-access pass to an unlimited designer jewelry wardrobe” so it’s like borrowing jewelry. However, if there is something your simply can’t part with, then you just keep it and you pay for it. So far my pieces have ranged from ~$28 to $90 and I haven’t kept anything yet (although I might be keeping one necklace in the photo below).

I have worn everything at least once and when you are ready for new stuff, just package it up in the envelope it was sent in and using the prepaid label, mail it back. Favorite new product

Jamberry nails! Have y’all tried them yet? I am totally new to nail wraps but I finally tried a sample that a friend sent me many months ago and I fell in love. These were the samples I was sent. The photo at the left was the day I put them on, the photo on the right was on day 11! I am sold. I hate painting my nails mainly because I never have the chance, then they always smudge or chip. Not worth it.

Favorite picture

Well no big camera photos again this week, but I thought I’d share a few from our trip to the Northwest Trek wildlife park. Everyone had a great time and love that we actually got a family shot!
