Need some gift ideas for the upcoming Holidays? Here is my 2011 food-kitchen inspired gift guide. I’ve had a lot of time to flip through magazines and catalogs while I feed the baby so this is what I came up with!
Eat Smart Retro Kitchen Scale from Amazon: perfect to measure your ingredients when a recipe calls for items by weight and it takes the guesswork out of portion control $27
Holiday Gift Tin (regular, cheddar and caramel popcorn or variety of chocolate popcorns) from Dale and Thomas Popcorn: I remember getting these popcorn tins as a kid (not quite as gourmet as this) and loved them. It totally reminds me of the Holidays $49.95
Le Creuset Reversible Grill/Griddle from Sur La Table. I use this for pancakes, burgers, fajitas, etc. Especially love those grill marks when it’s too cold to cook outside $169
Rolling Pin from Anthropologie: Perfect for the baker! Actually who wouldn’t love to make cookies using this pretty pin? $18
Memo Canisters from MoMA Store: These would look great out on the counter or to keep things organized in a pantry $40
Constructive Eating Utensil Set from Kitchen Kapers: This would be a great stocking stuffer for your picky eater $19
Double Belgian Waffle Maker from Amazon: I gave this to my husband as a birthday present last year. We have perfected the most delicious whole grain waffles and make them at least once or twice a month. I will share the recipe with you someday….but first buy this. Oh and I might make a penny or two if you click on my Amazon link in the right side bar. Thanks! $84
Mixed Case of Wine from Wine Insiders (a bottle, a case or a wine club membership!): Depending on how much you want to spend, there are several options when it comes to wine. A good bottle is always appreciated as well as a more elaborate gift of a wine club membership. For the case pictured $129.88….not bad for 12 bottles!

One of the staples in my kitchen is Cuisine Perel fruit vinegar. I keep several varieties but my favorites are the D’Anjou Pear and the Late Harvest Riesling. I got hooked after receiving their 3-bottle gift set, and now I buy it by the quart! http://www.cuisineperel.com/fruitVinegar.php

Oh my goodness Kimberly….I am so buying some of these! They sound delicious! I’ve tried lots of flavored oils but not many vinegars and since we have salad almost every night they wouldn’t go to waste. Now deciding which ones to try!

I love the Le Creuset grill griddle idea! I may have to go back and add that one to my registry 🙂 Another great idea might be the new Alton Brown cookbook (for the food science lover/chef in the family!).
I like this retro kitchen scale too, because I’m sick of the one that calls for batteries, mine never works properly.
