These simple seed crackers will provide a nutritious base for your dipping needs and are gluten and grain free.
Need a healthy vehicle for all things dip-able? Theses gluten free, grain free, seed based crackers are perfect for you!
I have an obsession with a certain brand of seed crackers and I heard from a family member that they are quite easy to make at home. I used my favorite seeds from NOW Foods to create this super simple cracker.
NOW Foods is a leader in the natural products industry- they have an awesome variety of supplements, essential oils, pet products, natural food, and more. Their goals is simply to empower people to lead healthier lives and they do that by providing both quality and value with their products.

These simple seed crackers were a little thicker than I wanted, but we sure enjoyed them, especially dipped in hummus. Seeds, much like nuts, are so nutritious yet sometimes I forget to incorporate them into my daily meals.
Seeds are packed with healthy fat and fiber. The sunflower seeds offer an excellent source of vitamin E and a good source of magnesium. They are great out of the bag for snacking, but also are a nice addition to breads, cookies, salads and more!
The Organic Triple Omega Seed Mix I used is a blend of Hemp Seeds, Chia and Flax. Three of my favorites! The are a great source of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, easily digestible plant-based protein and iron. Did you know there is 7 grams of protein in just 3 tablespoons of these seeds? If you don’t make the crackers, buy this blend and use them as a topping on salad, smoothies, yogurt and more!
I also used NOW Foods organic sesame seeds, another great source of fatty acids, protein and iron. I am telling you, these seeds are SO good for you!
This recipe will yield two large pieces on two separate baking sheets. Once cooled you will just break them by hand into free formed crackers and store them in an airtight container.
All you really need to make these simple seed crackers are seeds and water! But adding a little seasoning and salt makes them even better!

Wants something to dip your crackers in?
- Cilantro-Jalapeno Hummus
- White Bean and Olive Dip
- Guacamole Egg Salad
- Curried Chicken Salad
- Pesto Chicken Salad
- 2½ cup Organic seed mix (flax, chia and hemp)
- ¾ cup sunflower seeds
- ¼ cup sesame seeds
- 1½ cup water
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon dried rosemary
- Mix together seeds and seasoning in bowl, pour in water and stir to combine, allowing the seeds to absorb the water. Pour onto two cookie sheets lined with parchment paper and spread out to a rectangular shape, about ⅛ inch to ¼ in thickness. Sprinkle with a touch more salt.
- Bake at 350 degrees for ~1 hour or until crisp. If they don't feel crisp after an hour, return to the oven for 5-10 minutes. Let cool (I left mine in the oven for a bit longer to cool done and harden) and break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
